About Aircom

Aircom Pty Ltd is an independent Sydney based industry specialist communications construction company which has been in operation since 2001. Our area of interest is principally in the construction and maintenance of various telecommunication carriers, commercial and consumer networks, including both conventional and wet boring, excavation ,pit and pipe installation, manhole construction, major cable/fibre hauling ,traffic control and associated works.

Company Background

Aircom was incorporated in February 2001 and is a two director company comprising of Richard Grandy and Kevin Higgins. Both had worked previously in the telecommunications industry for approximately five years and Richard and Kevin realised an area of potential to subcontract directly to various carriers.

Company Growth

  • Aircom has spent over two million in plant and equipment since 2001 in order to keep up to levels with Customer’s requirements and work flow.
  • Aircom has increased it’s workforce to twenty people to meet construction and deadline commitments.
  • Aircom has moved it’s Depot and offices to Mt Druitt since August 2003 in order to better service our customer’s needs.
  • Aircom has purchased a state of the art wet bore machine to improve our work capabilities and better improve our clients wide range of works.

OHS & S

The company is fully aware of, and takes very seriously, its obligations to the health and safety of its employees, customers, motorists, pedestrians and the general public.

An OH & system has been implemented and all personnel from the directors to crew members are involved in ensuring there are no incidents which lead to personal injury. Regular tool box meetings are conducted with employees to enable them to express any concerns they may have.

Aircom has in place a quality system and works method statements, which cater directly to the works we carry out for them.

Relationship with Customers/Clients

Aircom has a close working relationship with our customers having worked with many of the construction people for some years. Aircom has responded on many occasions at short notice to complete emergency works. We also have developed a close reporting system with all the relevant staff within of our customers to ensure timely completion of projects.

Aircom has put together a high quality construction management team that has the potential to handle a larger workflow if necessary. Aircom is prepared to expand its human and physical resources if needed.
